Sheriff Tim Duff Visited HSC
Sheriff Tim Duff visited the HSC members and talked with them about scams that are going on in the community.
The program was very informative and made the members aware of unusual situations and what to do in case such situations happened to them. The most important thing they learned was to not give out any personal information, and contact the Sheriff’s Department if they had any questions. Tim is also a VPAS Board member representing Highland County.

Especially exciting is that six new people joined the group that morning and some, if not all, will probably become members. The group discussed the PROOF Strategic Plan and future fundraising ideas.
The 53rd Annual Maple Festival in Highland County will take place on the weekends of March 10-11 and March 17-18. The Highland County Senior Center members traditionally raffle a handmade quilt at this event. Local Council members also donated original artwork and a bed and breakfast stay to be raffled as well. The lucky winners of Suse Field’s artistic talent and Sharon Hevener’s hospitality will be blessed indeed!
